Original ticket http://trac.elgg.org/ticket/1265 on 39717363-05-24 by trac user carlos, assigned to unknown.

Elgg version: 1.6

Would be great to have a user/admin config option to select between real-time and friendly_time stamps.

Real-time: 14:22 Sept 16, 2009

Friendly_time: 4 days ago.

Cheers.

-Carlos

I think the best way to accommodate everyone is to make this a view.

That sounds like a good solution to me as well.

'output/friendly_time' using $vars['timestamp']?
