River widget doesn't show anything if riverdashboard is not activated

Description
Perhaps this belongs to #1198 , but I'm not shure.
I have a clean SVN installation and I installed the "river" plugin. then I can add the widgets "Activity" and "Friend Activity".
But "Activity" does not show anything. When I install and activate "riverdashboard" it works.
And one more bug: The widget "Friend Activity" still doesn't show anything. On the riverdashboard i can see the actions of my friends.

I think the river plugin went with the old river that was replaced in Elgg 1.5 and as such should be removed from the plugins repository. The riverdashboard has its own widget that allows a user to select between your own activity and your friends activity.
Brett/Dave, do you agree that the river plugin has been replaced by riverdashboard?
