I saw the flag during recent work in the installer. I just removed the "Remember to hit save" admin notice and would definitely prefer a welcome widget.

There is a flag in the installer that can be set so that the user automatically logs in and is sent to plugin page. Maybe we turn that on and send the user to dashboard and include a welcome widget?
