Description
I'm using an MAMP installation on mac osx. The site-wide categories do not seem to be working. Also, there are several deprecation notices. The form for categories never appears in the add blog post or page pages. Also, when I type categories into the settings page (to add the side-wide categories), I get the "categories have been saved message" but they never seem to actually be saved. If I return to the settings page, no categories are listed (don't know if this is the intended behavior, but I would assume there would be some way to some existing categories.

Refs #3746. Updated categories for 1.8. Still some deprecation notices, but functional.
