IE7: white space at top of a page

Description
A very strange issue appears in IE7 when loading a group or profile icon for the first time. The page gets, after the new icon loads, a extra white space above the topbar.
Can't get a hold of the reason yet. After a refresh the problem is gone. So only on group and profile icon when the icon is not loaded before.

Possibly related to #3888.
If i hit f5 i get the js error (and no white space)
if i go with the menu item (edit avatar) i get no js error, but a whitespace at the top.

I fixed #3888 and cannot replicate this one. Please try with the beta for 1.8.1 coming out this coming week and reopen if you see this again.

New info. I can reproduce the situation by doing the following.
Goto crop icon page.
F5 -> no issue
Right menu bar -> click edit avatar -> whitespace appears
No custom plugins enabled. WinXP + IE7
