developer tools: Add Menus to Developers plugin inspection tool (Trac #4247) #4247
Comments
beck24 wrote on 41993925-03-30 I already have a working solution for this, I'll make a pull request through github. |
ewinslow wrote on 42338923-08-01 Did you ever end up making that pull request? Could you post it here? Is there really a need to distinguish b/w menus and other plugin hooks? |

beck24 wrote on 42338962-06-30 I thought I did but I can't find it... that's ok, I still have it and I'll create the pull request tomorrow. I'm not sure what you mean about distinguishing it from other plugin hooks - the hooks inspection shows a list of handlers, this shows the menu structure of all menus in the site, so a dev can easily see what the name of each menu is, the name of each item, the name/href/section/parents of items, etc. It's info a dev needs to know to effectively write a menu hook, without this it comes down to experience, or looking at the assigned classes of the list items in the html output. I think it's fundamentally different and useful (I usually refer to it when modifying menus). |
