Faulty "New group discussion post" notifications getting sent

Since the community site was upgraded to Elgg 1.8 I receive several faulty notifications a day.

The subject line says "New group discussion post" and the body of these messages contains for example:

New group discussion post:
​http://community.elgg.org/plugins/559843/1.0/kill-dead-widgets

But these links don't point to any new group discussion posting (as the missing group name also already indicates) but link to plugin pages.

The common thing of these notifications is that the developers of these plugins are on my friends list (to receive notifications about new plugins and new releases). In case of these notifications though there's nothing obvious new on the plugin pages that should trigger the notification - and surely no new group discussion post.

Could you past the body of one the notifications here?

1. I fixed an issue that caused forum reply notifications to appear like new discussion posts. I think that fix was deployed Thursday or Friday.

2. I just tested the plugin notifications and they work on my test site.

Never mind. I found the problem. Comments on plugins are generating this.
