Original ticket http://trac.elgg.org/ticket/659 on 39018510-05-31 by trac user Phil, assigned to unknown.

Elgg version: 1.0

The 'tools' dropdown menu doesn't work in Opera browser.
Clicking on 'tools', puts a # on the end of the url in the address bar, I don't know if that's relevant.

The dropdown menus issue is a known one (search for #323 and previous tickets). It is due to a bug in the jquery user interface framework when used in conjunction with IE (6 & 7) or Opera, and z-index values. We are hoping the soon-to-be-released updated ui.jquery framework will fix this issue. If not we will look at using a different dropdown menu system in v1.5.
